The AB NightVision Inc. Low Profile Battery Pack (AB-LPBP) is a remote power source for ANVIS night vision devices during ground operations. It interfaces with tactical helmets and attaches via an integrated Velcro hook panel to maintain a low profile against the helmet.
The body is machined from high-density Black Delrin polymer to provide impact resistance. The unit is available in a black finish or a MagPul™ Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote finish.
The pack features dual battery compartments. Depending on user preference, it operates on either four AA batteries or two CR123A batteries. The compartment lids are sealed with O-rings for water resistance and are tethered with lanyards to prevent loss during battery changes.
Connectivity is provided via a standard 4-pin Lemo-type connector on a 19-inch shielded cable. An optional Cable Bend Adapter is included; it snaps onto the connector to enable a side-mounted connection like with the RNVG.

FAQ:

Q:  How does the AB-LPBP work?
A:  To pull power from the LEFT side of the battery pack as shown in the orientation below, turn the power switch knob CLOCKWISE from the center OFF position:

Then, to pull power from the RIGHT side of the battery pack as shown in the same orientation, turn the power switch knob COUNTER-CLOCKWISE from the center OFF position:

Q:  Can I get a 90° angled connector on my battery pack?
A:  90-degree connectors currently on the market are keyed in such a way that, once installed, they don't angle in the direction needed for the desired connection. The LPBP Cable Bend Adapter is the solution to this.

Q:  Will the LPBP Cable Bend Adapter damage my battery pack cable?
A:  Repeated removal and replacement of the Cable Bend Adapter could potentially cause damage to the cable over time. It is strongly recommended that users wanting a right-angle connection with their AB-LPBP leave the Cable Bend Adapter on as a semi-permanent solution.
