The Objective Lens Cap press-fits onto the Objective Lens. It has a small hole in the center to allow enough light in for short function-tests during daylight hours without damaging the Image Intensifier Tube.
Despite the name, the 'day cap' function is only safe for indoor use. It is not recommended for outdoor use in actual daylight.
